General:
Evergreen perennial arising singly or in small clusters along an elongated scaly rhizome.
Leaves:
Oblong, 4-20 cm long, 1-4 cm wide, leathery, oblong, pinnately cleft with broad, rounded sinuses and narrow, entire segments with broadly pointed tips; rachis smooth throughout.

Habitat / Range

Dry to mesic rocks in the montane zone; rare in C and NE BC, known only from Fort St. James and Fort Nelson; amphiberingian, N to AK, YT and NT, E to PQ; E Asia, Greenland.
