Introduction

This species is found in fens and meadows. It is reported from "rotting wood and organic soil in rich fens scattered across the boreal zone; Alta., B.C., Man., Nfld., N.W.T., Nunavut, Ont., Que., Yukon; Alaska, Colo., Mich., Minn., Mont., Wis., Wyo.; North America; Europe; Asia." (Vitt 2007). In British Columbia, it is reported from the northeast corner of the province.
