General:
Annual or biennial herb from a slender taproot; stems single, 5-20 cm tall, simple or usually branched, glabrous throughout.
Leaves:
Basal leaves few, egg-shaped, 5-25 mm long, entire or with 1-2 wide teeth, stalked; stem leaves many, oblong to egg-shaped, 5-20 mm long, 3-10 mm wide, obtuse, entire, clasping with ear-like lobes at the base.
Flowers:
Inflorescences dense, few-flowered, elongating in fruit; flower stalks ascending, 3-7 mm long, slender, straight; petals white, 2-3.5 mm long, egg-shaped to spoon-shaped; sepals yellowish to purplish, papery-margined, 1.5-2 mm long, erect, without pouches.
Fruits:
Siliques, ascending, 1-2 cm long, about 0.8 mm wide, straight or slightly curved, almost round in cross section; beaks 0.1-0.2 mm long; seeds in 1 row, plump, oblong, about 0.6 mm long.
