General: Prostrate to depressed shrub; stems 5-30 cm long, glabrous or minutely hairy.
Leaves: Evergreen, mostly opposite, leathery, lance-oblong to oblong, 3-8 mm long, 1-3 mm wide, margins rolled under, glabrous above, finely short hairy below; stalks 1-4 mm long, partially clasping.
Flowers: In 2- to 6-flowered terminal clusters; flower stalks 1-10 mm long, straight or curved; corollas pink, bell-shaped, 5-lobed, 4-5 mm long; calyces red, 1.5-2.5 mm long, glabrous, persistent.
Fruits: Capsules, egg-shaped, 3-5 mm long, 2-3 mm wide.
