General: Annual herb from a taproot; stems decumbent to erect or ascending, several, branched, glabrous to weakly glandular short-hairy above, 5-15 cm long/tall.
Leaves: Basal leaves linear, 1-3 cm long, less than 1 mm wide, 1-nerved, glabrous; stem leaves opposite, 2-6 pairs, 3-10 mm long, glabrous, becoming shorter towards the stem apex; stipules lacking.
Flowers: Inflorescence of usually several flowers per stem; petals 5, oblong, white, 1.2-2.6 mm long; sepals 5, greenish, rounded, glabrous to weakly glandular short-hairy, 1.5-2.5 mm long.
Fruits: Capsules obliquely triangular, compressed, 2.5-5 mm long, 5-valved; seeds about 0.2-0.3 mm long, obliquely triangular with a dorsal groove, reddish-brown, minutely roughened.
