Perennial herb from a branched stem-base; stems several, erect, 40-70 cm tall, slender, mostly unbranched, appressed-hairy.
Leaves:
Basal and alternate along the stem, palmately compound, the leaf-stalks equal to the leaflets except the lowermost, which are 3-5 times as long as the blades; leaflets 8 to 13, narrowly oblanceolate, 1-5 cm long, hairy on both surfaces.
Fruits:
Pods, silky-hairy; seeds usually 4.
