Species Information

General:
Perennial from a short rhizome and stolons; stems ascending, branched above, glabrous or minutely hairy, 2-6 cm tall.
Leaves:
Basal leaves simple, spoon-shaped, 1.5-4.0 cm long, 4-8 mm wide, tapering to a slender stalk; stem leaves crowded below the raceme, oblanceolate, 0.5-1.2 cm long.
Flowers:
Short clustered racemes; petals 2-3 mm long, longer than the sepals; sepals 1.5-1.8 mm long.
Fruits:
Silicles, oblong-ellipsoid, with a short style, 6-15 mm long, 2-3 mm wide; seeds 4-10.

Habitat and Range

Moist to wet solifluction slopes, scree slopes and rocky ridges in the alpine zone; rare in NW BC, known only from the Tatshenshini River; amphiberingian, N to AK and YT; NE Asia.
