Introduction
This South American species, sometimes cultivated in gardens, was collected on a ballast heap in Nanaimo (Macoun 250 @ CAN) and also arose in a disused flower bed in Queens Park, New Westminster in 2006 (Lomer 6035, 6082 @ UBC).
