Species Information

General:
Perennial herb from a thin, branching rhizome; stems single to several, erect or ascending, 2-20 cm tall, smooth or slightly hairy.
Leaves:
Mainly basal, oblanceolate to oblong, stalked, 1-6 cm long, 2-13 mm wide, sharply toothed; stem leaves fewer, alternate, narrower, reduced, without stalks.
Flowers:
Inflorescence a solitary bell-shaped flower; corollas 1.5-3.5 cm wide, blue; sepals deeply cut, hairy.
Fruits:
Capsules, 3-12 mm long, subcylindric, hairy.
