Introduction
This garden vegetable (globe artichoke) rarely escapes from cultivation in our area. Collected on a soil pile in Campbell River (Marr 7019 @ V) and on a sandy beach in Gonzales Bay, Victoria (Lomer 9756 @ UBC). Plants arising from seeds of cultivated plants will revert to the spinier wild race or subspecies.
