Species Information
General:
Annual herb from a taproot; stems ascending to erect, solitary, freely branched from the base, 15-60 cm tall, copiously glandular-hairy, strongly aromatic.
Leaves:
Stem leaves alternate, fleshy, stalked, oblong to egg-shaped, 2-4 cm long, with shallowly to deeply toothed lobes, reduced upwards.
Flowers:
Inflorescence of numerous, small, greenish, paired, axillary clusters; flowering spikes up to 4/5 the total height of the plant.
Fruits:
Thin, whitish, membranous envelopes; seeds black, 0.6 mm wide, horizontal.
