Microscopic spores: spores 9-13 x 5-6.5 microns, narrowly ovate to suboblong in face view, subinequilateral to nearly oblong in side view, pale ochraceous in KOH, smooth to minutely punctate, plage very faintly delimited, apical callus minute; basidia 2-spored, rarely 1-spored basidia seen, 24-28 x 6-7.5 microns, colorless; pleurocystidia none seen, cheilocystidia 24-32 x 6-9 x 1.5-2 x 2.5-3 microns, often curved and with ventricose part one-sided, thin-walled, colorless; gill trama parallel or nearly so, tawny to yellow in KOH; subhymenium not distinctive; cap trama homogeneous; clamp connections present
