Leaves: Alternate, mapleleaf-shaped, heart-shaped at the base, 3-8 cm wide, 5- to 7-lobed slightly over half their length, glabrous; stalks about equal to or slightly longer than the blades.
Flowers: Inflorescence of 6-15 flowers in an erect raceme more or less equal to the leaves; flower stalks not jointed below the flowers, with stalked glands; petals white to pink, 1-1.5 mm long, egg-shaped; hypanthium saucer-shaped, 0.7-0.9 mm long; calyces white to rose, 2-2.5 mm long, the lobes narrowly oblong, 1-1.5 mm long; styles hairy, about equaling the stamens.
Fruits: Berries, nearly round, dark red, 6-8 mm long, with stalked glands.
