Species Information

General:
Deciduous perennial arising in tufts from a short stout rhizome.
Leaves:
Elliptic, 30-80 cm long, 5-20 cm wide, pinnate to pinnately deeply cleft; segments entire.

Wet cliffs and rocky slopes in the lowland to subalpine zones; infrequent in coastal BC; amphiberingian, N to AK and S to WA, disjunct in NF; E Asia.
