Species Information

General:
Deciduous perennial arising in clusters from a short rhizome.
Leaves:
Broadly lanceolate, 4-20 cm long, 1-4 cm wide, 2-pinnate with non-jointed stipe and rachis with glands and without multicellular hairs; ultimate segments shallowly lobed.

Habitat and Range

Dry to mesic rocks and talus slopes, in the steppe and montane zones; infrequent in BC east of Coast-Cascade Mountains, mostly south of 55degreeN; N to NT, E to MB and S to WY, UT, NV and CA.
