Notes This specimen, with small buds in a very early stage of development, was picked and put in water on July 1. The buds opened to normal-sized flowers three weeks later. There were many of these plants growing with Carduus nutans in a disturbed area by the road at the east entrance to Johnstone Creek Prov. Park on Anarchist Mountain east of Osoyoos.
