I think this is Sarcodon imbricatus, but I need an id check. It was photographed at Battleship Lake on Forbidden Plateau, Strathcona Provincial Park. The cap shape is umbilicate, covered with coarse, raised dark brown scales.
Review Comments
This is either Sarcodon imbricatus - if associated with spruce trees or Sarcodon scabrosus if associated with pine trees. I do not see pine needles in the photo and so have accepted S. imbricatus
