Notes Rosy pink unopened florets stood out brightly (not unlike coral fungi) against the moss. Approximately 3.5 cm diameter. This spring and early summer has seen a lot of regular rain. The ghost pipe are also coming up at this same time, but in a different area of the forest, possibly drier. They don't share the same habitat. The second photo of the bloomed floret was taken on July 10. I wanted to see if the plant grew taller or if it stayed near ground level. The plant becomes pale with age and
