Comments Showing transparent panel at rear of slipper, said to be one amongst a number of devices for guiding/attracting insects trapped within the slipper to the rear exit. When climbing out the rear of the slipper an insect will first transfer any pollen it carries to the stigma before picking up a new packet from the anther as it squeezes out. A bee can be seen exiting a Cypripedium kentuckiense flower with an attached pollen packet here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI7zQKStuNQ&ab_channel=RethaMeier
