Introduction

A large serpulid tubeworm that grows with tube affixed to rocky walls, especially in BC fjords. Note the distinctive pearl-shaped operculum. Formerly it was thought there were two local species, but Apomatus timsii is now considered to be the same species and the name is a junior synonym.
