Species Information

Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 61-65; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 54 - 59. Snout projecting; gill opening wholly above pectoral fin; pectoral fin unnotched; disk length 11.7 to 19.6% of head length (Ref. 559). Body dusky-pink; vertical fins black; peritoneum black; stomach pale. Max length : 54.0 cm SL male/unsexed.

Distribution

North Pacific: off Kushiro, Japan and from the Sea of Okhotsk to the Bering Sea. In British Columbia, collected from deepwater surveys, RBCM specimens (Gillespie pers. comm. 2011).
