Mesopelagic at 400-650 m (Ref. 58302). Usually found 360 m or more beneath the surface (Ref. 4525). Oviparous, with planktonic eggs and larvae (Ref. 35838). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018. pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 0 - 914 m (Ref. 28981). Subtropical.
