Introduction

The only record of this Eurasian species in B.C. is a historical specimen from the central interior, although recent findings suggest that this individual may have been an escaped falconer’s bird. Nonetheless, recent records from northwestern Washington and California imply that this falcon may potentially be reported again in B.C.
