Distribution of Lynceus brachyurus in British Columbia
Details about map content are available here.

Introduction

Lynceus brachyurus has a Holarctic distribution: it is known from Europe, Asia, and North America. Martin and Belk (1988) estimate a wide distribution in North America, excluding only the far North and far South. In British Columbia, it has been recorded from the vicinities of Kamloops, Merritt, and 70 Mile House (Smithsonian Institution Collections).

Members of this genus are found in ephemeral ponds or streams and occasionally lakes (Martin and Belk, 1988).
