Painted Redstart
Family: Parulidae

The single provincial record of this attractive warbler, which normally resides in Mexico and in a few mountain ranges in the southwestern United States, is remarkable given both the distance from its normal range and the time of year (late fall) in which the observation occurred.

1.(1) adult; November 4-5, 1973; Ambleside Park, West Vancouver
