Introduction

Onychodiaptomus sanguineus is widely distributed in Canada and the northern USA south to Arizona, Gulf of Mexico states, and South Carolina (Reid and Williamson, 2010). It has been collected in extreme southwest British Columbia (Sandercock & Scudder, 1994).

This species is found in lakes and temporary ponds (Reid and Williamson, 2010).
