Introduction

The Northern Bog Lemming is boreal species that is found across Canada and adjacent Alaska south to northern Minnesota, Idaho, Montana and Washington. In British Columbia, it is recorded from throughout the mainland and on Campbell and Yeo Islands (central coast) (Nagorsen 2005). Within its range, distribution is spotty and populations are localized--it is not considered common anywhere in its range (Linzey 2008).
