Introduction


The Red Wasp is a holarctic species found in Europe, Japan, China, Taiwan, Turkey, Central Asia, and Canada. In Canada, it is found in all regions, in meadows, heaths, open woodland and moorlands.(Wikipedia 2012).

"Red wasps prefer to capture live arthropod prey to feed their larvae and rarely scavenge. The adults feed on nectar." (Wikipedia 2012).
