Reared in lab. Photo in terrarium. Note the gorgeous setae on the antenna. Male mosquitoes use their antennae to locate flying females. These 'ears' are among the most sensitive known in the animal kingdom. Culex pipiens may vector West Nile virus if and when it reaches BC
