Notes The Short Red Gorgonian Coral forms candelabrum-like fans up to 30 cm across. It is abundant in current-swept habitats near Cape Flattery, Washington within scuba range but has apparently not yet been found on the Vancouver Island side of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Identified by Dr. Gary Williams. See ZooKeys 283 (2013): 15-42. Previously known as Swiftia spauldingi.
