Deacon rockfish. Maximum recorded size 53 cm. This used to be known as the blue rockfish in British Columbia, however genetic studies in 2015 have shown that there are two separate species involved. The deacon rockfish ranges from Oregon northward, while the blue rocktish (Sebastes mystinus) is found from Oregon south into California.
