ID reviewed by Aaron Baldwin. I'm not dead certain about the ID, as it is my first encounter with this creature. But it matches the description of Burrowing Anenome very well. i found it buried in sand with its base attached to a rock surface. To photograph this specimen, I pried it off its base and placed on the rock base you see it on now. Naturally, it has withdrawn into itself and is not showing its tentacles. When I looked at your photo database, I didn't see a specimen in this condition, so I am sending it to you now.
