Notes
The deepest and smallest of the harvested king crabs, the scarlet king crab so far has only been the target of limited, experimental fisheries. These are found deeper than 250 meters and usually far deeper than that. The alternating long and short spines bordering the carapace (most evident in smaller specimens) and the very long rostrum are distinct.
