Notes
This abundant crab is most often mottled gray to green color. The sparse but distinct hairs on the legs are a definitive way to distinguish it from the purple shore crab, Hemigrapsus nudas. Photo taken with Pentax Optio W10 underwater camera submerged in shallow aquarium.
