Notes The pseudoscorpions very closely related to the true scorpions, but lack the stinging tail of that group. Instead they have poison glands in their pedipalps ('claws'). This species is very common, but easily missed unless specifically sought. Look for them in salt marshes under rockss, logs, and debris. On beaches search under rocks above the main barnacle zone, in rocky areas where beach grasses are sprouting in between the rocks. The body length is usually 4-6 mm. They feed on mites, such as t
