1 of 5: (with , #39614, #39615, #39616, #39622) This spider was indeed alive when this photo was taken. This seems to be the preferred 'at rest' or possibly 'alert' posture. It returned to this 'all knees together' pose several times after being gently encouraged to move. The object just out of focus at the top of frame is a decorated egg case, detailed in photo #39613.
