Notes Bare-tipped feather worm. A large sabellid polychaete with a variously-coloured plume. The radiole tips are bare (lacking pinnules). The tube is parchment-like and large, up to 30 cm long. When the worm retracts the tube opening remains round. This worm is parasitized by the tiny snail Evalea tenuisculpta. Identification confirmed by Leslie Harris (Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County) from collected specimens.
