Notes Windmill bamboo worm. This maldanid polychaete builds a unique tube that terminates in a whorl of spokes. The worm drapes mucous strands over the spokes that capture drifting plankton. The worm periodically sticks its head out of the tube to feed on the trapped food. Identification confirmed by Dr. Karl Banse from collected specimens.
