Image shows the end of the tube which typically remains circular when the worm retracts. Several tiny parasitic snails sit near the edge of the tube. These snails have been identified as Evalea tenuisculpta by Pat LaFollette (Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County) from collected specimens.
