Eggs of the Plainfin midshipman. Usually found on the underside of large rocks acting as a roof to the fish's nest. Plainfin midshipman fish usually live in deep water, but at spawning time burrow under large rocks to make a cave-like nest, where the eggs can be found sticking to the underside of the nest 'roof'. These nest areas are only found around the tide line at ultra low tides.in late spring/early summer.
