Snow geese were seen for the first time in the early winter of 2009 (November) in Jericho Park and other areas in West Point Grey. Snow geese have not previously been seen in this area, and so this photo is unusual for that reason. They were not there in the winter of 2010. 19th April, 2011. A large skein of snow geese was seen (and heard) in the early evening sky over Point Grey in Vancouver, travelling north on their return migration to the tundra where they moult and nest.
