Comments ID by Cris Guppy. "These are Papilio canadensis males "mudpuddling" - drinking moisture containing salt and other nutrients. The orange spot on the upperside of the wing is very diagnostic (always present in canadensis, never in rutulus). The extensive orange on the underside of the hindwing is also usually present in canadensis and generally absent in rutulus, but the orange is reduced in some individual canadensis and slightly present in some rutulus in the BC southern interior."
