Comments Numerous Cardinal Meadowhawks were flying around in the warm October sunshine at the side of Whyte Lake. This particular pair landed on a hand and stayed there for quite some time. Others deliberately chose to land frequently on jackets, jeans, or hands, and at one time I had 3 pairs of these dragonflies on the back of my jacket simultaneously. Depending on the light, their wings glowed either golden yellow or red near their body.
