This red was so busy eating the sumac cone he didn't see me at first, but when he finally became aware that I was nearby, he turned and glared. Then went back to eating! He, or one of his kin, had stored 3 sumac cones in the Manitoba maple in which he is sitting, another one on the maple downed by the beaver nearby, and two more in the walnut tree near the pond, at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden!
