Comments This densely hairy species resembles both P. kennerlyi and P. capillatus. They lack the white or blue tipped spines as seen in P. kennerly, and have solid colored antennae while P. kennerlyi have banded antennae. The dactyls ('feet') of the walking legs of P. setosus have strong spines while P. capillatus do not. Field identification of all three of these large hermits can be difficult!
