Comments The puncturellids or hooded keyhole limpets are distinct in having the 'keyhole' at the apex of the shell an elongate slit rather than a round or oval hole. With about 30 primary ribs (note that the ribs alternate large and small, large ribs are primary), this is contrasted with the related Cranopsis cucullata which has fewer ribs. Photo taken with Pentax Optio W10 underwater camera submerged in shallow aquarium.
