This Double Crested Cormorant has a band on it's left leg. He was first observed in February 2008 in the area. Was able to read the band via spotting scope. Spotted him again on April 18 2008 and was able to get a clearer image of the band . The banding information received from the band number is as follows; Banded in 1997 Banded near Astoria Oregon Too young to fly at time of Banding. This bird is over 11 years old. Not a record by any means but still impressive. The bird is showing signs of breeding plumage on it's head.
