Comments The most abundant scaphopod in BC waters, this animal reaches densities of 50 animals per square meter or more in many of the fjord systems along the coast. Unlike the other scaphopods in the region, this animal is a generalized feeder eating everything from kinorhynchs to foraminiferans to sediment to small pieces of polyeurythae rope. It is eatend by the Ratfish Hydrolagus colliei.
