Comments	Normally grasslands and low shrubbery are the habitat for these birds. This male was seen in the city of Vancouver in my neighbour's front yard. When I first saw it the bird was crouching low to the ground and facing me. My first impression was that it was a chicken. Not till the bird stood up and turned around did I realize the ring-neck and long, long tail were there. Video taken at the time may be viewed under the title ' Victoria Day Chicken Surprise '
