Comments 2014: This bird commutes many times each day from a distance of about half a mile away from the feeders in our garden. As we live on a slight hill, we can watch it coming and going, and each time it arrives it lands in the same bush, calls to announce its arrival, and then briefly visits the feeders before flying all the way back to where it came from! 2015: Commuting activities resumed this spring. It must be the same bird - it always lands on the same bush before going to the bird feeder and then flying back to where it came from. This is repeated many times a day.
